Just went to see Cloverfield, Skye you were right it was REALLY worth seeing! My mom got freaked out because of the shaky filming, but whatever^^ *Some spoilers might lay within this journal, so watch out!!!*


The beginning was cute. Yes, I said cute. The party scene was just great. Hud was the only character other than the monster that kept me from getting bored. The monster's design?? amazing!! It was effing HUUUUUGE!! WAY bigger than expected. You can definitely see how big it is in 1) The scene where Rob,Hud,and Lilly are saving Beth and they look out and see it 2) when they're in the helicopter and the monster is being attacked.

OK, I'm going to tell you guys my views on some controversial sccenes in the movie.

1-The Monster- I don't believe there is just 1. If you've seen the movie think about this, right before Hud is attacked by the monster you hear explosions and roaring BEHIND the monster AND isn't it weird with how big the monster in the city was that the one that Hud is under is somehow smaller? I think that there are 2! Possibly more. I have a theory, what if the one that was in the city was the MOM? and the one that killed Hud was the BABY??? But thats just an idea. Also, the monster itself is what I believe to be a government experiment. Why else did the military want to wipe it out COMPLETELY? If they had just killed it -because they COULD have led it to the water and killed it there- the news would have been all over it, then questions about it would have leaked out of everywhere, and then of course the government would have to keep quiet, and next = chaos. When the monster is being attacked and isn't killed, it leads me to think that it came from the bottom of the ocean. The bottom of the ocean is extremely hot an the pressure is intense. If it can survive there it can survive missiles and bombs, hell, even nukes.

2-The Transmission; It is either a radio transmission mixed with the signal from the camera or just something the camera catches after the bombing. The way the movie ended you can tell that they didn't nuke the monster. If they HAD, the camera probably wouldn't have been found. It would have been destroyed. Also, its playing BACKWARDS! DX I can't stand how people are intent on the thing saying 'help us' it is 'It's still alive' backwards. I tested it. It isn't fake

3-Marlena's Death; This almost goes without saying, those parasites lay some kind of egg or liquid chemical into any person they bite. It manifests in the person's body and when the person gets into direct light, whatever is infected begins to react, causing the abdomen to expand and explode; think of a tick that has had too much blood and ya poke it. I say this because they shoot at her stomach when it begins to expand.

4-Sequel; If there's gonna be one I believe it's either gonna be from the eyes of another person who filmed the events or it's gonna be an epilogue or aftershock of the movie. Think about this; whatever fell into the water wasn't the monster BUT it looked more of a sattelite. It could have waked up the monster(s) from under the water. or helped cause the attack.


So,yep^^ Oh and to anyone who ever told me the movie was bad; FORGET Y'ALL!! I loved it!!
